5. The Punisher: Season 2

Throughout the first decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there's been great casting, and then there's been absolutely perfect casting, where the union between actor and character is so solid that even the most prickly of diehard fans find themselves agreeing with common consensus. One such casting has been Jon Bernthal as Frank "The Punisher" Castle, who absolutely stole the show when he was introduced in Daredevil's second season back in 2016.
Unsurprisingly, the character was quickly spun off into his own show, the first season of which premiered at the tail end of 2017, and now the second season - arriving later this month - is set to kick off 2019 for the MCU. Described as a tale in which Frank embraces his identity as the Punisher, season two will see him squaring off against villains played by Josh Stewart, Annette O'Toole, and Corbin Bersen, among others, certainly, while Billy Russo returns, forever scarred and changed by the events of the first season, to become the villain we've all been waiting for: Jigsaw.
Of course, like Jessica Jones, the specter of cancellation is looming over the series, ensuring that its impending arrival is bittersweet, particularly in the fact we'll potentially be losing this stellar casting from the MCU forever, and hopefully season two can go down swinging in glorious fashion, giving Bernthal and Frank the excellent send-off they both deserve.
