8. Thor - The Frost Giants / Loki / The Destroyer
A trifecta of villains all gunning for the main hero should be enough to merit a higher spot on this list but that is not the case for Thor. To give credit where it is due, the Frost Giants are fierce villains in their own right. Towering over the already-hulking Thor and possessing blue skin and red eyes that give them a demonic appearance, the Frost Giants certainly have the look of great villains. They also have the ability to grow sharp, icy appendages, manipulate the ice around them, and cause frostbite to their enemies with a single touch. Combine these giants with everyone's favorite trickster, and the awesomeness that is the Destroyer and we have quite the set of villains for the God of Thunder. They would be higher on the list were it not for how easily Thor dispatches the Destroyer once he is reunited with Mjolnir, and the fact that the Frost Giants are stuck in Jotunheim for most of the film. It's hard to fear villains that can't leave their own realm. Seriously, if Thor doesn't defy Odin and go to Jotunheim, we never even get a chance see the Frost Giants' awesome abilities. Also, in his first appearance as Loki, Tom Hiddleston isn't quite the badass he would become in subsequent films. Pros: Awesome looks, great abilities. Cons: Frost Giants are stuck in Jotunheim, the Destroyer is basically a shiny punching bag, Loki isn't a badass yet.
