Marvel Cinematic Universe: Ranking Every Upcoming Project By Anticipation

7. Captain Marvel

Marvel Cinematic Universe
Boss Logic

At long last, a female-led Marvel solo movie. It's crazy we don't have one already, and will seem even crazier by the time it eventually comes out (although at least by then we'll have had Wonder Woman and Ant-Man and the Wasp).

That it's coming is good news, but the better news is that it sounds pretty great. Captain Marvel is a character whose powers should work well on the big screen, and they've landed one of the best actresses around right now for the part in Brie Larson. The search for a director is still ongoing, but with Nicole Perlman (co-writer of Guardians of the Galaxy) and Meg LeFauve (co-writer of Inside Out) on script duties, there's a lot of talent already involved.

Marvel are continuing to expand the cosmos, and Captain Marvel should fit perfectly into the MCU by the time the film comes around, with the potential to widen it further, and Larson is capable of bringing real strength and depth to the role.

Release Date: March 8, 2019.
