Marvel Phase 3: Predicting The Villains

6. Black Panther (2018) - Klaw

This one€™s kind of already set up by Avengers: Age Of Ultron €“ I believe that Klaw will take centre stage as the primary antagonist in the Black Panther€™s solo film. Andy Serkis has already done a bang-up job portraying the MCU€™s version of Ulysses Klaue, the arms dealer (now South African, for some reason) who was branded €“ literally €“ as a thief for nipping into the affluent, highly developed island nation of Wakanda to steal some of their vibranium, and who finds himself both a billionaire and minus one arm after being forced to sell said vibranium to Ultron. As a supervillain in the comics, Klaw has a sonic converter where his arm used to be, using vibranium to transmit and manipulate sound in a variety of horrible, horrible ways. He€™s also composed entirely of solid sound, which is a lovely pseudo sci-fi idea that probably only works in comics€ however, a super-rich arms dealer with a sonic death ray/magic box built into his arm, a built in grudge against Wakanda and a small army of mercenaries sounds like a decent antagonist to me. In addition to all that, in the comics, Klaue is responsible for the murder of T€™Challa€™s father, the Black Panther before him. That€™s too good to pass up as a motivating factor. This is the world€™s first black superhero we€™re talking about. Marvel needs to knock it out of the park first time.
