Marvel Phase 4: 10 Mistakes Marvel Studios Has Already Made

8. Where Are The Avengers?

Avengers: Endgame is the highest-grossing film of all-time, but Earth's Mightiest Heroes are nowhere to be seen in Phase 4. We certainly wouldn't want Marvel Studios to rush another team-up movie out just because Disney is looking to cash in, but with no sign of this group in 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023 as of right now, it feels like they've missed a trick.

Black Panther ended with T'Challa setting up a base of operations in California, something which could have led to a spinoff franchise of sorts with the West Coast Avengers. That team could have faced a smaller threat (after all, topping Thanos won't be easy), but still embarked on a memorable adventure with a very different assemblage of heroes.

The world has just been saved by its greatest threat yet, so we're finding it hard to believe The Avengers has now just disbanded. On the plus side, it does sound like the groundwork is being laid for the debut of both the New Avengers and Young Avengers, but it's still disappointing that Marvel Studios hasn't announced the next film so we know these upcoming stories are building to something.
