Marvel Post-Credit Scenes - Ranked From Worst To Best
15. Thor: The Dark World (No. 2)
The shock survival of Loki was clearly what director Alan Taylor wanted to end his stab at the MCU on. As big a draw to Asgard-set antics as his brother (if not bigger), Tom Hiddleston is one of the series biggest aces. A villain with a motivation beyond simply being evil, you'd have to be a fool to think his death would actually be final. And although it's a pretty typical plot development to do a fake-out like this, Taylor avoided any potential fan Fury by playing it as a movie-ending twist.
But Loki's survival isn't the narrative finale of The Dark World. Before everyone can go home, the titular hero needs to head back to Earth to settle down with Natalie Portman (oh the hardship), so the second post-credit scene shows the God of Thunder beaming down to Midgard to kiss Jane. Surely this scene should actually be in the movie proper though? Yes, you know it's going to happen from the main movie, but it highlights Thor wasn't making an an empty promise and serves as a nice parallel to the ending of the first film.
As for the Frost Beast loose in London, it's funny, but isn't it pretty destructive for the sake of humour?
