Matthew Vaughn To Produce Fantastic Four Reboot

fantastic four x-men In a move that could pave the way for the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters to cross-pollinate our screens, 20th Century Fox have set X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn to produce the new Fantastic Four reboot. Mark Millar, who wrote the Kick-Ass comic that Vaughn previously made into a movie and the upcoming The Secret Service which will be the director's next film, looks to have brought his fellow Brit on to the blockbuster. Last fall it was revealed that Fox had hired Millar to work as consultant on the studio's forthcoming Marvel Comics adaptations and now his frequent collaborator is on board. Millar broke the news of Vaughn's hiring on Twitter;
"Just off the phone with Fox and some excellent news. Matthew Vaughn is producing Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot!"
Chronicle director Josh Trank will helm the Fantastic Four reboot which is being targeted for a March 6th, 2015 release. Nothing has been confirmed yet but as Fox have already expanded the X-universe to include two timelines with the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, and with the cash-cow Marvel have created with their universe cross-overs that ultimately ended with the most successful comic book movie ever; The Avengers... it seems almost certain the plan will be to merge the X-Characters with the Fantastic Four.
