Phase Three introduced several new characters with ties to past MCU movies. In Captain America: Civil War, it was revealed that Helmut Zemo's family perished in the events of Age of Ultron in Sokovia, and later Spider-Man: Far From Home confirmed that Quentin Beck was backstage while Tony Stark showed off the B.A.R.F. system in Civil War.

This alien race, though new to the MCU audience, has actually been on Earth for 3500 years. Confirmed at Comic Con, the Eternals were sent down to Earth by the Celestials to protect their beings from another race called the Deviants. This opens a couple of avenues for the Eternals to have already impacted the MCU.

Since they have been on Earth longer than any other Marvel heroes, any of the Eternals may have affected, or been present for, any of the major events in the last ten years, the audience just weren't shown.

There is also potential for this off-world, as there have already been several Celestials introduced in the universe. Eson the Searcher was shown using the power stone by the Collector in Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Quill's father Ego was a Celestial, and Knowhere is situated within the skull of a giant, dead Celestial. Could we see some cross-over between the lore of the Eternals and the Guardians of the Galaxy?
