8. Werewolf By Night
While Disney+ has typically acted as a platform to put the spotlight on supporting characters from throughout the history of the franchise, as well as introducing the likes of Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk to proceedings, it will also be the home to certain shorts and specials.
I Am Groot debuted in August as a collection of five animated shorts, while The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special has been in the works for some time. What will now be releasing before the return of Peter Quill and co. is Marvel Studios’ first ever Halloween project.
Werewolf by Night has been long rumoured, but is now confirmed to be coming to Disney+ on October 7th. This will be entirely in black and white, and a clear homage to the typical retro Halloween horror stories of old.
The trailer also confirmed the MCU debut of Man-Thing, and given that Moon Knight’s debut in the comics came in Werewolf by Night #32, a comic given out by Marvel for free by way of a QR code in episode one of Moon Knight on Disney+, there will likely be speculation of Marc Spector’s appearance right up until the moment of its release.
