There are a few years to go before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in 2025, and between now and then there will be who knows how many movies and Disney+ series. With this in mind, there could be players in the game that haven’t even been introduced into the MCU yet.

Over the course of Phase Four, the MCU has been putting down pieces like the Maximoff boys, Kid Loki, Ms. Marvel, and Kate Bishop that could ultimately lead to the establishment of the Young Avengers. Should this be the case, fans can expect to also see Iron Lad introduced soon.

Though an important character for the Young Avengers, there is a compelling argument for why he should lead the entire charge against Kang. Simply put, he is Kang. This particular Nathaniel Richards was a young version of Kang that met his future conquering self, and crossed both time and universes to try and change his destiny.

Kevin Feige has already said that Jonathan Majors will play multiple Variants of Kang the Conqueror, who is to say that one version won’t be the young version known as Iron Lad?
