With the exception of Thor, no one has been through as rough a journey in the MCU as Wanda Maximoff. Losing everyone she loved, she is a completely different person to who she was when she was first introduced in Age of Ultron. Even by the end of her first appearance, she had made significant changes.

After tearing the Avengers apart like even Loki couldn't do, Wanda ultimately saw the full extent of Ultron's plan, and defected to help Earth's Mightiest Heroes save the world. Despite her incredible power however, at this point she was still young and naive, and had every right to feel scared of the battle going on in Sokovia.

For the first part of the fight, Wanda's role had been less about destroying Ultron's army, and more about getting the Sokovian civilians to safety. However, when she and Hawkeye were pinned down and forced to take shelter in an abandoned building, she had the option to either stay and hide, or to stand up and fight.

It was Clint Barton who talked her around to truly joining the fight, giving her the courage to step out from her hiding place, and officially take her place as an Avenger. Not only did she take the leap, she did it in style, bursting through the door, immediately tearing Ultron's faceless army to pieces.
