MCU: 10 Marvel Characters Who Could ACTUALLY Replace Spider-Man

There was a lot of talk of Richard Rider joining the MCU, although that’s died down somewhat recently. Initially people were expecting him to be introduced in Guardians Of The Galaxy, but with him not coming in the first two movies and the third being delayed due to James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, it might be a long time yet.

Considering the first Guardians movies introduced each Guardian, Ronan, Nebula, the Nova Corps and developed Thanos, it probably made sense for Nova himself to be absent. However, with the cosmic universe set to be a major part of MCU stories going forward, he could come back to prominence again.

It might not be Richard Rider at all though. Instead, it could be Sam Alexander.

Born in Arizona, Alexander finds out from Rocket Raccoon and Gamora that his father, a drunkard janitor, was actually once in the Nova Corps. He’d bring a face to the Corps without the pressure or spotlight Rider would bring.

It feels like the MCU needs more young blood now, especially with Spidey going. Alexander might not be as well known as Rider, but he might be the better pick.
