MCU: 10 Marvel Characters Who Could ACTUALLY Replace Spider-Man

3. Amadeus Cho

Most of the OG Avengers seem to be handing the reins over in one way or another. Iron Man was obviously to Spidey, Captain America to Falcon and Thor to Valkyrie or maybe even Jane Foster. Hawkeye too has Kate Bishop on the horizon, while Black Widow, once the sole female hero in the MCU, died knowing the roster was much more diverse.

Hulk though doesn’t really have that connection, despite it growing increasingly clear that he no longer wants to Hulk smash. She-Hulk was recently announced at D23, so she’s a possibility, but Amadeus Cho might just be a better pick.

He’s technically already in the MCU, played by Martin Starr in The Incredible Hulk. He’s only labelled Cho in the novelisation though, credited as just ‘Computer Nerd’ in the film. Considering Starr is already in the MCU (Mr Harrington in Spider-Man) and is demonstrably not Korean, it’s probably best to consider Cho a completely new character.

One of the smartest people in the universe, Cho figures out how to Hulk in and out in an instant. He’s a much more mature hero for his age than Spidey, but certainly fits the young protégé angle.
