Few movie openings will ever be able to hold a candle to the seismic official arrival of Thanos in the chilling prologue of Avengers: Infinity War. Pulverising a ship full of Asgardians, also including a God of Thunder, Heimdall, and The Hulk, The Mad Titan and his Black Order didn't waste any time in letting the world know what they were all about.

But perhaps the most emphatic showcase of Thanos' cruel and merciless approach to gaining Infinity power manifested itself in the snapping of Loki's neck as his brother Thor watched on. In fact, this moment was so cold and heartbreaking that it actually even broke the actor behind the purple baddy's heart a little too.

Speaking to USA Today, Josh Brolin would reveal that he found it tough to perform this sequence on the day, stating:

"He had been with that character for so long. And he's so lauded for doing it. Tom was so vulnerable at that moment. So choking him out wasn't the most fun thing I have ever done."

Fun or not, Brolin masterfully executed the deed to perfection and left us all clutching our popcorn a little bit tighter at the thought of what was set to unfold over the next 140-minutes.
