As a certain wise ol' frog once stated: "It's not that easy being green."

And no MCU actor would agree more with that statement than the person tasked with breathing life into the hulking mass of green routinely spotted smashing buildings and aliens to pieces in everything from Avengers Assemble to Thor: Ragnarok.

When talking about the process of acting out scenes as the eye-catching Hulk throughout his time in this larger than life universe, Mark Ruffalo would class the outfit he's forced to wear when playing big green as a "man-cancelling suit".

Going further in his conversation with GQ, the Academy Award nominee would also admit to a "humiliating" feeling washing over him every time he is made to step out in the suit that "makes you look big where you want to look small and small where you want to look big.”

But at least Robert Downey Jr. was on hand to offer his support throughout the making of Endgame, telling Ruffalo "I have a lot of compassion for you," when acknowledging his revealing work on many an Avengers set.
