MCU: 10 Sneaky CGI Moments You Probably Didn't Notice

4. Cap's Helmet (Avengers: Endgame)

Thanks to the fact that 2012 Captain America is wearing a helmet and present-day Captain America isn't, the fight scene between the two characters in Avengers: Endgame is super easy to keep track of. But that wasn't always the case.

Originally, the scene played out as-is, but neither character had a helmet obscuring their face. This obviously made the whole sequence a lot harder to digest, since both characters look pretty much identical, and there are a lot of quick cuts and janky camera movements throughout.

So, the movie's special effects whizzes stepped in to save the day. After test audiences complained that the fight was hard to track, the filmmakers added a digital cowl to 2012 Captain America's head, differentiating him substantially from his modern-day counterpart. And the result is smooth as hell.
