MCU: 10 Sneaky CGI Moments You Probably Didn't Notice

5. Thor's Sleeves (Avengers: Infinity War)

Thor has had his fair share of costume changes over the course of his MCU career, from the more regal look worn in his 2011 debut film, to the badass warrior garb he sported in Thor: Ragnarok.

While some of the details of his costume have changed from movie to movie, one thing that's been there almost every single time are his metal sleeves. Rather than being a stylistic choice, these appear to exist to give the God of Thunder some limb protection, since he's more of a melee fighter than he is a ranged one.

But funnily enough, Chris Hemsworth has none of that protection whatsoever in real life, because - in Avengers: Infinity War's Battle of Wakanda, at least - those sleeves don't actually exist.

In numerous behind-the-scenes shots from this sequence, the actor can be seen with his arms bared and no sleeves to cover them, with a handful of red dots placed on top of his skin. These are used to help the visual effects team track his arm movements, which makes it easier to digitally add the sleeves into the scene.

It's unclear whether these sleeves have been real or fake in the other movies, but chances are, they've been fake on more than just this one occasion.
