MCU: 10 Supernatural Heroes Who Could Make Marvel Millions
2. Caretaker
Fantasy casting: Sophie Turner
There’s a few characters who’ve gone by Caretaker in the Marvel canon, but obviously Turner is the hypothetical pick not for the original, physically imposing brute but instead his flame haired granddaughter.
Sara, formerly a nun, takes up the mantle after discovering her grandfather’s abandoned shack, and because of this she offers the MCU something new. In the comics, alter egos frequently get passed down to relatives or apprentices.
Thor seems to offer something of the sort to Valkyrie in Endgame, but Caretaker Sara offers a familial link.
After touching one of the original Caretaker’s old books, her mind is flooded with his powers and she gains knowledge of the Spirit World, becoming a guardian of the Spirit Of Vengeance.
For even more cinematic appeal, the original Caretaker could teleport and had superhuman durability; very useful powers to pass down for inevitable fight scenes.
Casting Turner in the role might cause unnecessary confusion given she played Jean Grey in X-Men, but as a hypothetical she’s worth considering. Since her first X-Men bow she’s grown substantially, and if she carries Dark Phoenix well, should expect another call from Hollywood soon.
