MCU: 10 Things That Repeat WAY Too Much

6. Destroying Every Major City

It must suck to just be a fellow human being living a normal life in the MCU.

Between the 50/50 possibility of turning to ash whilst going to the toilet, and getting accidentally blown away a modified alien ray gun, living amongst the Avengers and other assembled teams must be like sharing a very small room with an unchained tiger.

Just think of how many times we've seen car chases in metropolitan cities inevitably wind up being cataclysmic bombsites.

New York, San Francisco, Seoul, London, Washington DC...dare we go on? It seems if you live in a city with a population over half a million, get out while you can, because your contents insurance is about to go through the roof (quite literally in some cases).

Showing destruction and chaos creates spectacle for film, but it's also starting to feel a little uneasy watching familiar buildings, streets and cultural landmarks get reduced to shreds, all because Cap and Iron Man argued over who used the last piece of toilet paper and didn't replace it.

Recent MCU instalments have done well showing conflicts and showdowns taking place in fictional or abstract landmarks, but there are still plenty of cities for the Avengers to tear through.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
