MCU: 10 Things That Repeat WAY Too Much
5. Humans, Super Soldiers, Superheroes? All The Same
If you were to draw a scale from weakest to strongest Avengers, on one side you'll have Thor, Captain Marvel, Hulk and Captain America. On the other side, you'll probably put the more capable but (let's face it) vulnerable Avengers like Hawkeye, Falcon, Black Widow and... anyone made of pure flesh and bone.
Between these sliding scales, there is a hierarchy of endurance amongst the heroes but every now and then, the MCU likes to throw the hierarchy out the window and say "if they can fight, they're on equal playing fields".
Now we all know that it would be a difficult toss-up between Black Panther and Captain America, but do we even need a debate when Black Widow charged over and leapt on The Winter Soldier? Apparently we did.
Too often now, the consistency of heroes' powers go into disarray, to the point where in Falcon & The Winter Solder, the un-enhanced Sam Wilson is holding his own against multiple super-soldier Flagsmashers.
It seems that previously establishing someone as superhuman counts for diddly squat, as once fists start flying, strength and might are very flexible.
The MCU should absolutely not start discounting its human heroes for the godly and cosmic ones, but there needs to be some thought put into a sequence where three heroes of varying abilities each hold the same level of strength when fighting against a single enemy.
