MCU: 10 Worst Things The Avengers Have Done

When Loki came to Earth with an army at his back, the Avengers stepped up for the first time and naturally, the MCU changed forever. Not only did the people of Earth learn that they were not alone in the universe, the God of Mischief brought with him another Infinity Stone and all but placed it in the hands of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Though he may not have known the full extent of it at the time, in Loki's sceptre Tony was able to play around with one of the most powerful objects in the known universe. With the help of Bruce, and fuelled by the vision planted in his head by Scarlet Witch, Tony used the technology of the sceptre to create Ultron, an AI peacekeeping protocol.

Stark's plan to put a suit of armour around the world, however, didn't quite work out the way he envisioned. Ultron evolved, and consumed J.A.R.V.I.S on the journey to becoming a genocidal robot, hellbent on a global extinction.

Just like with Hulk's rampage in South Africa, Wanda has to share part of the blame for this. Tony revisiting the Ultron program was a direct result of Scarlet Witch messing with his mind, but this merely planted the seed. Tony kept pushing for a magical solution to defend the world, but playing god only earned him another megalomaniac super villain to stop.
