MCU: 12 Things You Learn Rewatching Avengers: Age Of Ultron

8. Quicksilver Is Pretty Underrated

Age of Ultron's Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) also gets a lot of hate from fans for arriving shortly after Fox's own X-Men version (played by Evan Peters) and basically failing to live up to it.

While that's a fair comment, if you accept the MCU Quicksilver on his own terms, he's actually a pretty solid addition to the movie considering how little he's actually in it, and the fact he dies at the end.

Sure, Taylor-Johnson's accent is kinda goofy, but the character gets a bunch of awesome, memorable moments: trying to catch Mjolnir and being flung around, walking into the Sokovian police station with a machine gun to alert the cops, getting accidentally shot by a cop, and of course, his famous one-liner, "You didn't see that coming?"

His hasty death was probably a smart move all things considered, given Fox's superior equivalent and how it instantly elevated Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) as a character. Three years on, though, it's much easier to appreciate the solid - if rushed - treatment the character got here.
