MCU: 12 Things You Learn Rewatching Thor: Ragnarok
6. The Valkyrie Flashback Should've Been A Full Scene
Perhaps the most eye-popping scene in the entire movie - and there are a lot of them - is the brief flashback sequence where Loki looks into Valkyrie's (Tessa Thompson) past, witnessing an historic battle against Hela where the majority of the Valkyrior were killed.
It's a dizzyingly beautiful yet disappointingly brief sequence, especially as the trailers seemed to suggest it was part of a much larger set-piece. Instead, it's about 40 seconds long and, with its abundance of slow-motion, provides only the briefest glimpse into Valkyrie's traumatic past.
Though even this small snippet clearly cost a pretty penny to put together - using a state-of-the-art camera system called DynamicLight to create the surreal, heightened style - a full action sequence devoted to the carnage could've resulted in one of the MCU's most entrancing battles.
