MCU: 12 Things You Learn Rewatching Thor: Ragnarok
5. Sif's Absence Is Still Infuriating
There was a lot of hand-wringing ahead of Ragnarok's release about whether or not Sif (Jaimie Alexander) would appear in Ragnarok, but ultimately, her commitments to TV show Blindspot sadly made it impossible for her to appear.
And you know what? It still stings. Considering that Asgard gets sacked by Hela and Sif is nowhere to be seen nor even cursorily mentioned, her absence sticks out like a sore thumb.
Kevin Feige has since stated that Sif was probably banished by Loki when he was disguised as Odin, but that's...still not very satisfying. Granted, it's a relief the door is open for her to return in the future, but given how disappointingly underserved she was in The Dark World, it continues to be frustrating how a potentially awesome heroine isn't getting her due.
