MCU: 12 Worst Casting Decisions In Marvel Movies

7. Lee Pace – Ronan The Accuser

Guardians of the Galaxy may have been nigh-on universally loved by all but let’s be honest, no film is perfect and while I'm in nit-picker mode I might as well bash on one of its weakest links – Lee Pace’s Kree radical Ronan the Accuser.

Not so funnily enough, Pace has described his character as akin to former most wanted terrorist Osama bin Laden. Now, it's not really known what Pace’s opinion of bin Laden is and how he went about transplanting his traits into Ronan, but if he was going for pouty and petulant intergalactic religious fanatic more comparable to a tantrum-throwing toddler than villainous destroyer of worlds then he nailed it.

Of course, Guardians of the Galaxy isn’t the most serious of films so a modicum of hammy acting is to be expected but Pace’s over-exaggerated, scenery chewing take on Ronan is hammier than a bacon sandwich.
