MCU: 20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Avengers

10. Galaga High Score

MCU movies have, what most might call a bad habit of inserting jokes into scenes where they really don’t belong. Too many times a potentially important or serious moment has been robbed of its gravity because of a dumb one-liner.

On the other side of this particular coin is when the franchise gets its humour bang on. In fairness, this is more often than not, and one of the funniest moments through The Avengers is when Tony Stark catches a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent playing Galaga on the Helicarrier.

Before the scene ends, there is just a quick shot of the agent in question switching his screen back to the game he had just been called out on. It turns out that Tony’s timing couldn’t have been worse for the poor man.

The high score on his game is 36450, and the score he happens to be on at the time? Also 36450. Tony literally called him out just as he was about to beat his own high score, but the scene goes by so fast that it’s incredibly difficult to catch on a first or even second or third viewing.
