MCU: 20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Avengers

9. Language!

Though Earth’s Mightiest Heroes were a poor excuse for a team when they first came together, when Age of Ultron came around and they were shutting down the remnants of HYDRA in search of the Sceptre, they were functioning like a well-oiled machine.

The heroes were clearly closer than ever before, as they were able to give each other the kind of mocking only friends can. Tony joked that Clint was dead, Thor made fun of the rest for not being worthy, and possibly most of all, everyone ripped it out of Cap for telling Tony off for his language.

When Stark flew straight into a HYDRA force field and uttered a certain four-lettered profanity beginning with s and ending with t, Steve told him off. As the most righteous man alive, Captain America was obviously above such language, right? Or was he?

When giving out the gameplan to his fellow Avengers in 2012, after telling Hawkeye to call out strays and before telling Hulk to smash, he told Thor to use his powers to bottleneck the portal. The exact words he used were “light the b*stards up.” And he felt in a position to question Tony’s language after that?!
