MCU: 30 Actors Who Could Have Starred In Avengers: Infinity War

13. Timothée Chalamet (Spider-Man)

Before Tom Holland made Spider-Man his own beyond all compare, Call Me By Your Name's terrific Timothée Chalamet also auditioned for the introductory role in Captain America: Civil War.

It probably didn't help that, at this point in his career, Chalamet was still best known as "that annoying kid from Homeland" and "the son nobody cared about in Interstellar."

Would It Have Worked?: Chalamet's a prodigious talent, so absolutely, but Holland brings such a unique energy to the part and his chemistry with Downey is so strong that it's hard to accept anyone else in the role.

Chalamet will probably get snapped up for a juicy blockbuster role before long, but not quite yet.
