MCU: 5 Marvel Characters Russell Crowe Could Play In Thor: Love And Thunder

Thor: Ragnarok surprised everyone with the casting of Matt Damon, only for the A-lister to play an Asgardian actor. As Loki ruled Asgard disguised as Odin, Damon's character was hired to portray the God of Mischief in The Tragedy of Loki of Asgard.

This version of Loki, along with Luke Hemsworth's Thor, and Sam Neill's Odin, will come together again in Love and Thunder, joined by Melissa McCarthy's Hela, to play out the death of Odin and likely the end of Asgard. But what if Hela isn't the only new addition to the group?

If the actors are in fact bringing Ragnarok to the stage, there is room for another couple of characters, and wouldn't Russell Crowe be the perfect addition to the already stacked cast? It would be glorious to see him bring to life Surtur, who brought about the end of Asgard as it was known, but the people of Asgard's story didn't end there.

For those that escaped their world on the Grandmaster's ship, their story came to an end at the hands of Thanos. This was a defining moment for the people of Asgard, and the Mad Titan would certainly be deserving of a role in the production. Could it be Russell Crowe that brings him to life?
