MCU: 5 Weird (But Plausible) Casting Choices For Wolverine

1. Tadanobu Asano

Another potential case for Marvel to re-cast an actor already in the MCU, Asano would be far better utilised as Wolverine than as one of the very forgettable Warriors Three.

Across his filmography, Asano has brought a unique combination of comedy and something close to cruelty to the characters that necessitated it - a blend that would be absolutely perfect for Wolverine, a character that has demonstrated similar qualities for decades.

The actor's ethnicity may not make him the favourite of comic purists, but with Wolverine's massive connections to Japan there is actually a tangible reason as to why he could be portrayed by a Japanese actor. As for how to keep the Canadian connection? Simply have the character either possess dual nationality, or make it so that he previously emigrated to the country and spent many years there.

Either way he's a great choice, and if Marvel won't do right by the actor with Hogun, then they should give him another shot as Wolvie.
