MCU: 6 Places Shang-Chi Could Turn Up Next

5. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

The Ten Rings being a Celestial artefact is one potential origin for the MCU’s new most powerful weapon, but it is certainly not the only option. The fact that Shang-Chi was seen with Wong in the Sanctum could prove telling, and could tie both him and the Rings to the Multiverse of Madness.

The MCU has been broken wide open by Loki, and will be tampered with even further through Spider-Man: No Way Home. Could it be that the reason no one can explain where the Ten Rings came from is because they are a product of another universe?

While they were found 1000 years ago, far before the MCU’s current multiverse crisis, Loki dealt with different universes and realities all throughout time. Something done by the likes of Sylvie, Doctor Strange, or Kang the Conqueror could not only affect the future, but also the past.

Doctor Strange was absent from the Shang-Chi post credit scene, but as soon as he pieces together what may be going on, should the Ten Rings have jumped over from another universe opened in the past, thanks to the absence of the TVA, he will certainly want a word with the man in possession of them.
