MCU: 8 Things You Need To Know About Kate Bishop
6. ...And Has Featured In Some Of Hawkeye's Best Comics
Although the lack of attention paid to Hawkeye on the big screen would denote a lack of interest off it, that couldn't further from the truth. Since 2012, the character has featured in some of Marvel's best and brightest works, with Matt Fraction and David Aja teaming up to tell arguably the best superhero book of the decade in the book's fourth volume.
Any series would do well to take the bulk of its inspiration from that comic. It cuts to the core of Barton's character and poses one very compelling question: what does Clint get up to when he's not an Avenger?
Turns out the answer's quite a lot. He adopts a pizza-loving dog, called Lucky, fends off mispronouncing mobsters after his apartment block and spends the rest of his hours being a hopeless divorcee. Meanwhile Kate, by this point an equal to Clint, tries to help him get his s**t together as best she can.
Bishop remained a staple of the series even after Fraction and Aja departed, becoming the lead in Kelly Thompson's stint on the character. All have been charming in their own way, and though she's not always taken a place centre stage, she's been a fundamental part of each comic's success.
