Song: Live To Rise Film: Marvel's The Avengers In March of 2012 Seattle grunge pioneers Soundgarden announced via their official Facebook page that they had written a song for Marvels The Avengers. The track, entitled Live To Rise, was released the following month, with the band making it available to fans as a free download. The song opened the films accompanying rock album, Avengers Assemble: Music From And Inspired By The Motion Picture, which included music by Papa Roach, Rise Against and Evanescence and actually managed to place in the Canadian Albums Chart. Soundgardens contribution was the only one to actually appear in the movie, however.
