MCU: Every Final Battle Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Given how lackluster the first film's climax was, you'd be forgiven for thinking that a Captain America movie couldn't deliver a truly great climax, let alone one that nearly matches the scale of The Avengers. Leave it to Anthony and Joe Russo to prove us wrong.
The Winter Soldier has one of the most intense and adrenaline-pumping final battles in the MCU to date. It's astoundingly well directed, edited, and produced, and ridiculously intense.
But above all the fighting, shooting, tension and explosions, the real heart of this climax is between Captain America and the Winter Soldier.
Seeing these two former best friends fight added much emotional weight, especially with Steve trying to remind Bucky of who he really is. Bucky may have finally started to remember at the end, but in the moment Steve was nothing more than his mission.
Alas, Cap almost let Bucky accomplish that mission. No matter what, he was with Bucky "to the end of the line" (at least until ditching him to go back in time to Peggy in Endgame).
