Tony Stark, even in spite of all the character faults that made him originally ineligible for the Avengers Initiative, developed a loyal army of friends and colleagues. Though they were many, none had a stronger or longer relationship with Iron Man than Rhodey.

They were more than best friends, they were like brothers, and like all brothers at one point or another they fought. This came as Tony began embarrassing himself in the depression of his seemingly imminent and inevitable demise.

Tony had been requested to hand the Iron Man ‘weapon’ over to the US government, and when he refused, Rhodey stuck his neck out and backed his friend. However, Stark got drunk and acted like the suit was a toy, something that just didn’t sit right with Rhodey, so he donned one of Stark’s suits himself.

The two had a fight that was relatively simple, it was little more than a fist fight in the suits. Hardly any weaponry was used, as Rhodey had never been inside the suit before and Tony didn’t want to kill his friend, and it was over in a flash. Tony was too drunk to stop his friend from flying off with what would soon be known as the War Machine armour.
