If you thought that there was a lot of infighting when the Avengers first came together, it is nothing compared to when they were split apart by the Sokovia Accords. It was called Civil War for a reason, with most of the Avengers finding themselves fighting other Avengers.

After the events that took place in Lagos, the public opinion was, perhaps understandably, not so favourable towards Wanda Maximoff. As something of a form of damage control, Tony Stark essentially employed Vision to keep Wanda under house arrest. This worked for a while, until Clint was brought out of retirement to break her out.

He first distracted Vision with a fire, and even though his sonic arrows kept him at bay for a moment or two, Hawkeye was eventually easily overwhelmed by the man with the Infinity Stone in his forehead. That was always the plan, however.

Clint couldn’t beat Vision, but Wanda could, and did. Not liking the fact that she was essentially a prisoner, she overpowered Vis as no one else could and sent him crashing towards the core of the Earth. She had always been powerful, but she had never been this powerful before.
