18. Ant-Man & The Wasp

Ant-Man And The Wasp isn't a bad film by any means, but it suffered partly because of its weird release placement and for the fact that it was always going to be "just" an Avengers: Endgame precursor for a lot of people. Because of its position after Infinity War, it felt more like a palette cleanser and a far more lightweight sequel than this stage in the MCU really calls for.

It's all just a little mild, even though the characters are excellent, the effects solid and the performances full of the same charm as were in the original. There's not enough that's particularly memorable in there, which is a major shame (thank Civil War for stealing the Giant Man thunder) and it's another case of a second Marvel sequel underwhelming.

More effort is needed for the expected Ant-Man 3.
