MCU: Every Phase Three Post Credit Scene Ranked Worst To Best

4. Ant-Man And The Wasp - The Snap

The other movie to release between Infinity War and Endgame was Ant-Man and the Wasp. Unlike Captain Marvel however, Peyton Reed's film is set alongside the events of Infinity War rather than two decades before them.

In terms of tone, Ant-Man and the Wasp couldn't be further from Infinity War. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily's hit, similarly to the first movie and Spider-Man: Homecoming, is primarily a comedy, and much lighter than the dark and desolate climax of the snap in the previous movie.

For two hours, it almost allows us to forget the peril the world is in. Almost. In the post credit scene, Scott and the now reunited Pym/Van Dyne family attempt to explore the Quantum Realm further. Not only does this show the power of the dimension Janet was lost in all these years, it is a stark reminder of Thanos and the stones.

Since neither of the titular characters appeared in Infinity War, this post credit scene answered the question of whether they survived the snap, and left Scott's future in doubt, trapped in the back of their van. Again, this saved the Russos valuable time in Endgame months later.
