MCU: Every Phase Three Post Credit Scene Ranked Worst To Best

The fourth of the five Guardians Volume 2 post credit scenes, and second on this list, revolves around Peter and Groot. After spending the entirety of the movie as baby Groot, this scene shows Rocket's former hired muscle as an adolescent playing a video game, apparently opposed to the idea of tidying his room. This hinted to a bit of a time jump between this movie and the Guardians' next appearance, and it also showed the growth of his relationship with Star Lord.

One of the final scenes of the movie, after Yondu's funeral, showed Peter and Groot listening to the perfectly apt Father and Son by Cat Stevens together. Jump to however long it took Groot to grow to this size, and Peter is acting more like a father than ever, telling his boy to put his video game away, and even understanding his language for the first time on screen.
