MCU: Every Single Marvel Movie Post-Credits Scene (And What They Mean)
16. Ant-Man: Bucky
The Scene
In anticipation of the expansion of the Phase 3 Avengers cast, the post-credits scene followed the trend set by The First Avenger's stinger, ripping a scene straight out of Captain America: Civil War to set up how Ant-Man comes into the fray.
We see Captain America come across Bucky seemingly trapped in a vice, as he debates how to help him with Falcon. They reject the idea of going to Tony Stark, who won't believe them and won't be allowed to help because of "the Accords", before Sam suggests that he knows a guy who might be able to.
What It Meant
At the time, it looked like Falcon was suggesting that Lang could help Bucky escape from his trap, but the reality in Civil War was that they were simply recruiting Lang to join their team to try and help uncover the truth that Zemo was the real villain.
The reference to the Sokovia Accords was the biggest revelation, as it explained how the film was going to present the idea of superhero registration - more as a code of conduct than a participation list.
