21. Captain America: The Winter Soldier - The Museum
At the end of The Winter Soldier, having escaped the Triskellion crash with his life after Captain America refused to kill him, Bucky Barnes visits the Smithsonian museum and sees an exhibition on Captain America and the Howling Commandoes. This gives us the first real hint that he's coming to remember his past life on his own and a spark of hope that he can be redeemed.
At this point, we didn't know that Civil War was coming or that Bucky would play such a key role in it, but the reiteration of his importance to Cap's ongoing story was an important one. Because, let's be honest, Bucky and Cap are incredible together and there was still a lot left in the tank for this story.
