8. Nova

Rumours of Nova appearing in Phase 2's Guardians of the Galaxy movie were rife for months before its release and, as a result, a lot of people were quite disappointed to see that he wasn't in the space epic at all. That said, his absence only served as a catalyst for those fans who anticipated his appearance to want him more and Phase 3 would have been the idea time to appease them. Granted, Nova may still appear in Phase 3's Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, but it would have been cool if, amidst the massive expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there was more than one film in Phase 3 that focused on space-based characters and a Nova solo outing would have been the ideal opportunity to add to the space-based films and branch out even further in to the cosmos.
