MCU Phase 3: 10 Movies That Should've Been Included

5. Iron Man 4

There is, of course, such a thing as overkill when it comes to any given character. The X-Men franchise is doing it with Wolverine - thrusting him in the collective faces of its audience at every available opportunity - but such is the popularity of Robert Downey, Jr.'s Tony Stark that very few people would have complained if the character had been given a fourth movie in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Moreover, Iron Man 3 ended in such a way that audiences were led to believe Tony Stark was retiring from superhero duties and his role as Iron Man - and yet now he's set to be thrust back in to action in several more movies, such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War and the Infinity War movies, just for starters. In order to explain his rather quick return to action, it probably would have been better done in another solo outing and, to kill two birds with one stone, Marvel Studios could also have used the opportunity to fully rectify the Mandarin problem they created in Iron Man 3 by having the real one (who was revealed to exist in the Marvel One-Shot "All Hail the King") appear either as the main villain or in a cameo of some description.
