MCU Phase 4: 10 Major Marvel Heroes Who Must Appear
4. Miles Morales
With anticipation for Sony’s Into The Spider-Verse heating up and Marvel teasing Miles’ appearance in Homecoming, it’s natural that fans are hoping to see a second webslinger join Holland’s Parker somewhere further down the line.
With Donald Glover (who actually voiced Miles in Ultimate Spider-Man) featuring in Homecoming as Morales’ uncle Aaron Davis, we know the kid at least exists in-universe. In a satisfyingly cyclical piece of trivia, Morales’ creator Brian Michael Bendis initially based Miles on a combination of Barack Obama and Donald himself, at a time where many were campaigning for the actor to get the part of Peter Parker.
What makes the MCU tower over its competitors is the way it manages to mesh so many characters together. Peter is very much the baby of the group right now, and has cultivated a sweet father-son dynamic with Tony Stark. Seeing Parker turn from a naive kid into a supportive mentor for Miles, then, could make for one of the franchise's most fascinating developments.
