2. Silver Surfer
Though we don’t like to think about it, Phase 4 will not feature Chris Evans and is unlikely to feature Robert Downey Jr. much either. While Captain America and Iron Man are often diametrically opposed foes, they share a common trait: selflessness.
Tony Stark’s showmanship and cocky persona often hide his true nature, but flying the atomic bomb through the wormhole during the Battle For New York showed what kind of person he truly is. His paternal relationship with Peter Parker seems to have drawn that out even more too, while Captain America’s sacrifices are too long to list.
The point is, once they go, there’ll be a distinct lack of nobility on the team. There's the possibility of Vision surviving Avengers 4, but he lacks the charisma someone like, say, the Silver Surfer would bring.
The Silver Surfer begins as an enslaved henchman to Galactus, but breaks away from his master to defend Earth. No friends or love interest compel him to protect us like Jane does for Thor - he simply does it because it’s right. Just throwing new heroes at the screen because they can isn’t Marvel’s style, but the Surfer has more than earned his spot.
