MCU Phase 4: 10 Marvel Characters Keanu Reeves Is Most Likely To Play
1. Ultimus
If not the villainous Druig, perhaps Keanu Reeves could play the villainous Eternal/Kree hybrid of Ultimus. Basically, if he is going to be an Eternal, the more villainous ones seem more suited to him.
We don’t really have any idea what’s going on with the Kree right now; Carol Danvers clearly has unfinished business with them (Yon-Rogg in particular), so surely they’ll be part of the MCU moving forwards. Then again, Captain Marvel was set in the nineties, and a lot can happen in three decades.
Will the sequel remain as a prequel to the MCU proper? Or will it pick up in the nineties and transport her through into post-Endgame?
Either way, the Eternals could play a part, but if Captain Marvel is coming to the modern day, Reeves as Ultimus could be an antagonist here then link up with the other Eternals, or else just deepen their lore.
Away from Captain Marvel, Ultimus has been a Thor villain in the past too, so could go up against a few MCU heroes.
With Reeves favouring some darker roles recently (Toy Story 4 not withstanding), a villain like Ultimus could be right up his street, even if it isn’t the famous character here.
