MCU Phase 4: 10 Marvel Characters Keanu Reeves Is Most Likely To Play

5. Kang The Conquerer

If not Galactus, Kang the Conquerer is a solid choice of overarching villain too. Galactus does seem much tougher to actually bring to the screen, with the second Fantastic Four movie completely failing to sell his scale or grandeur.

Then again, that second Fantastic Four movie failed at most things it tried, so it’s not exactly a perfect benchmark. Still, Galactus brings both logistic and plot based complications that Kang would skip over much easier.

Given the heavy time travel themes of Endgame, they’ve introduced a niggling ‘why not just time travel to here and save the day?’ issue that they may struggle to shake off. Kang, as a time traveler himself, helps avoid this pitfall too.

Reeves, along with Paul Rudd, is famous for being one of Hollywood’s ageless men, and as such already seems suited to Kang. Considering there’s various incarnations of the Marvel villain, this casting allows Reeves a recurring role while bringing something new to the table each time. Nathaniel Richards is the big one, but there’s also Rama-Tut and the Scarlet Centurion.

Given that he has quite the history with reinventing himself across his career, he seems more than up to the task.
