MCU Phase 4: 10 Mind-Blowing Secrets & Theories You Need To Know

1. The Quantum Realm Changes Everything

The groundwork for the quantum realm was laid in the Ant-Man series, ready for a payoff in Endgame. However, now that the genie’s out of the bottle, there’s simply no getting it back in.

The limited amount of Pym particles in Endgame could be explained by Hank getting dusted; now that he’s back though, there is no longer such a limit. ‘Why not time travel?’ will become the new ‘why not ask the Avengers to help?’, and the answers will be harder to justify.

Sure, Tony Stark is gone, but the time machine still clearly works: Old Man Steve is evidence enough of that. Bruce Banner, Shuri, the potential arrival of Reed Richards... the MCU isn’t exactly short on geniuses.

The fact is, the quantum realm is here to stay. This could mean a time hopping central villain like Kang The Conqueror, or a one so powerful time is of limited importance, like Galactus. It also means the MCU is likely to introduce way more sci fi into the mix, having toyed with the idea in Homecoming. All this may also hold the answer to the Fantastic Four or the X-Men; we’ll just have to wait and see.
