MCU Phase 4: 10 Things Fans Most Want To See

8. Actual Connections To The Netflix Shows

Marvel's Netflix shows might have their ups and downs (mostly downs these days, sadly), but they're as much a part of the MCU as the films are - discrepancies in the New York skyline aside.

The likes of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist all exist in the same world as the Avengers, but while you won't be hard-pressed to find a deluge of Easter Eggs in the latest season of Luke Cage referencing the events of Civil War, finding some love being sent the other way is infinitely more difficult. The films just don't seem to care about the TV shows, and no matter how hard Charlie Cox may press for a team up between Matt Murdock and Black Widow - or even Spider-Man - the chances of it happening are pretty slim.

But it's not as though the idea of a crossover is being ignored by the House of Mouse; Infinity War writers Christopher Marcus and Stephen McFeely openly discussed that they'd broached the idea of including The Defenders in the new Avengers films, but ended up scrapping the idea due to the logistics proving too difficult.

That shouldn't stop either Marvel TV or Marvel Studios from attempting such a move however, despite the supposedly frosty relationship that exists between the two outfits. Even just a mention in passing would suffice, and with Phase 4 set to be the most unique one yet, it's the perfect time to start planning for the future with The Defenders in mind.
