The MCU's costume design has, for the most part, been pretty stellar. Outfits for Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and Spider-Man have all looked spectacular throughout their many incarnations, but some haven't faired as well. Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye, for instance, still lack a compelling outfit, and it may have even impacted negatively upon the pair.
As things currently stand, Avengers 4 will inject some much needed flair to Hawkeye's outfit, but Wanda is still without something truly unique. Elizabeth Olsen even criticised the look herself the other week, bemoaning the costume's impractical features as opposed to Valkyrie and Black Widow, who both sport outfits way more durable than her own.
Giving those two characters a better wardrobe should top the costuming department's list of priorities, but it'd be nice to see more of the series' concept designs make it through to the final cut every now and then - even if they're resurrecting long after they were first optioned. Ryan Meinerding's Superior Spider-Man outfit still looks, well... superior, and those steampunk-esque Guardians designs were way better than the burgundy leather combo that featured in both the first film and its follow-up.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
